Many publishers offer their journals in the form of separate databases.<\/p>\n
An overview of journals in the publishers\u2019 databases can in most cases be seen by using the links\u00a0Browse<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Journals by Subject.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0You can move from a wider range to a narrower subject area until you reach the list of journals of your subject, where you can browse the contents of journal issues and read articles. You can also browse the whole alphabetical list of journals or select a certain journal.<\/p>\n Access is usually given to the full texts of newer volumes, not to all volumes of the journal. The access range differs by different databases.<\/p>\n University of Tartu has access, via the university library, to multidisciplinary databases of the following publishers.<\/p>\n NB! You can access full texts by the following links only in case you use the\u00a0VPN\u00a0connection<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Cambridge Journals Online<\/a><\/strong> Emerald Insight<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a> Oxford Academic<\/a><\/strong> Sage Journals Online<\/a><\/strong> ScienceDirect<\/a><\/strong> Springer Nature Link<\/a><\/strong> Taylor & Francis Online\u00a0<\/a><\/strong> Wiley Online Library<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong> In addition to these, there are special databases\u00a0for many specialities of specific publishers, e.g., PsycArticles,\u00a0American Chemical Society e-journals,\u00a0American Society for Microbiology e-journals, etc.<\/p>\n Publishers\u2019 databases containing journals on your speciality can be found on the\u00a0Databases page<\/a> by selecting the faculty.<\/p>\n When searching subject databases or,\u00a0e.g., the EBSCO database Academic Search Complete, you can follow the links and reach the full texts of journals that are also included in the publishers\u2019 databases (in EBSCO, there is the button \u2018Linked Full Text\u2019 under the article record), but this may differ in different databases. In case\u00a0EBSCO or a subject reference database does not offer a link to the full text, check out the access to the journal by its title on the\u00a0portal of e-journals<\/a>\u00a0or by the title of the article in\u00a0Google Scholar. \nAccess to Cambridge University Press e-journals. The collection includes over 300 journals from various disciplines. On the main page of the database, there is a Browse by Subject<\/em> link, where you can see the fields and, by clicking on them, lists of journals. Access is only to journals.<\/p>\n
\nThe database contains nearly 300 e-journals in economics, management, librarianship, sociology, education, health, public policy,\u00a0environmental management\u00a0and engineering from Emerald Group Publishing. On the main page of the database, there is a link Browse our Content<\/em>, where by selecting Books and Journals<\/em>, you can further select the subjects and the lists of journals.<\/p>\n
\nAccess to Oxford University Press e-journals (since 1996). The database includes journals in the humanities, law, medicine and health, natural sciences and mathematics, and social sciences. On the database\u2019s home page there is an alphabetical list of journals and an overview of journals in different disciplines.<\/p>\n
\nAccess to Sage e-journals. The database contains more than 1000 journals of social sciences and humanities, health sciences, biomedicine, materials science, engineering sciences. Social sciences play an important role. The home page has a Browse by Discipline<\/em> link, where you can select narrower fields under the four major fields and browse the journals under them.<\/p>\n
\nAccess to Elsevier e-journals. Natural sciences and medicine play an important role, social sciences and humanities are also represented. The main page of the database shows four major fields, under which you can choose narrower disciplines and get an overview of the journals offered.<\/p>\n
\nThe multidisciplinary database contains over 2,700 e-journals.\u00a0The Springer Link home page https:\/\/link.springer.com\/<\/a> has a Browse by Subject<\/em> section, where after selecting a field, select Journals<\/em> under Content type<\/em> to see journals in that field.<\/p>\n
\nAccess to Taylor & Francis e-journal collections Science & Technology Library and Social Science & Humanities Library.
