The convention in line of our conferences in Legal History in the Baltic Sea Area will be taking place in Estonia on<\/p>\n
\u00a0The topic of the forthcoming meeting will be<\/p>\n
The theme concerns both the law as a factor of the designing of the economic environment, and vice versa, the impact of economic factors on the law. Contributions focusing on the history of economics, town ordinances or land-law in a narrower and broader sense are also very welcome. The working languages are German and English, as usual.\u00a0The meeting will start in Estonian capital Tallinn on Wednesday, May 16, and will guide us through the thematic areas of land and estates to the university town Tartu.\u00a0During these journeys we will experience the urban and rural environment not only theoretically and intellectually through lectures, but also practically-spatially. On May 19, <\/sup>the doctoral seminar \u201cLaw and Economics in Baltic History\u201d will take place<\/a>. The seminar is intended primarily to offer the opportunity for the PhD students to meet the most important colleagues and established researchers. The departure date will be Sunday, May 20.<\/p>\n In this conference we would also like to commemorate the 770th anniversary of granting the L\u00fcbeck town ordinances to Reval\/Tallinn, and we will be able to take a closer look at the world\u2019s largest collection of the L\u00fcbeck Law manuscripts in the Tallinn City Archives.
