On selge, et uurimisoskusi ei ole m\u00f5tet hinnata kontrollt\u00f6\u00f6 kaudu, sest see ei anna infot, kas laps on \u00f5ppinud eksperimenti kavandama, vaatlusi ja m\u00f5\u00f5tmisi sooritama, andmeid anal\u00fc\u00fcsima ning p\u00f5hjendatud j\u00e4reldusi tegema. Avastus\u00f5ppel p\u00f5hinevas loodusteaduste programmis on erinevad \u00f5ppeteemad jaotatud kuueteisttunnisteks mooduliteks, kus kasutatakse mitmesuguseid tagasiside kogumise viise: \u00f5ppemooduli eel- ja j\u00e4relhindamine, \u00f5ppemooduli sisene hindamine, ennustamine, l\u00f5pphindamine, ajur\u00fcnnak, tegevuse kohta tagasiside kogumine, loodusteaduste p\u00e4evikud, mitteformaalsed hindamisviisid (nt vaatlus, m\u00e4rkmed ja j\u00e4lgimislehed \u00f5pilaste tegevuse kohta tunnis). <strong>Mida mitmekesisemaid tagasiside kogumise strateegiaid kasutatakse, seda parema \u00fclevaate iga lapse arengust \u00f5petaja saab.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00d5ppemoodulisisene tagasiside kogumine on integreeritud mooduli juhenditesse ja p\u00f5hineb eeldusel, et \u00f5ppimine ja selle tulemuslikkuse kohta tagasiside kogumine on omavahel tihedalt seotud. Paljud avastus\u00f5ppe moodulid algavad ajur\u00fcnnakuga, mille k\u00e4igus \u00f5pilastelt k\u00fcsitakse, mida nad teemast teavad ja mida nad sooviksid selle kohta \u00f5ppida. Mooduli l\u00f5pus k\u00fcsitakse neilt sama k\u00fcsimus uuesti.
