The project „Conceptual framework for increasing society’s commitment in ICT: approaches in general and higher education for motivating ICT-related career choices and improving competences for applying and developing ICT“ is supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the programme for supporting research & development in information and communication technology.

The main goal of the research project is to find interventions that should be applied in general schools and higher education institutions to positively influence students’ ICT-related attitudes, knowledge, and skills (which are all needed to increase the number of citizens who relate their professional career to the ICT sector).

This study is a joint project of the University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology and the Estonian Information Technology College. The project also involves the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications as a representative of enterprises, as well as foreign partners from Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, and Finland as scientific advisors.
