Skytte Institute\u2019s website (October 4th)\u00a0<\/em><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>As the Fall semester is proceeding at full steam, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/neareu.ut.ee\/home-0\">Jean Monnet Module \u201cNeighbourhood Enlargement and Regionalism in Europe\u201d (NearEU)<\/a>\u00a0offers a wide range of activities and courses related to Europeanization of the European Union\u2019s Eastern neighbourhood, candidate countries, and wider Europe.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn particular,\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tSeven NearEU Talks with Former President Toomas Hendrik Ilves within the framework of the course \u201cThe European Union \u2013 Current Affairs\u201d. The forthcoming topics include The Future of the Digital Single Market (October 08); The recent developments in the Eastern Neighbourhood (October 22); EU\u2019s East-West divide (November 12); The European Green Deal and Green Transition (November 26), and Democratic Backsliding in the EU (December 10). The events are announced through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/UTeurus\/\">Facebook page of \u201cEuropean Union \u2013 Russia Studies\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and opened to everyone interested.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>Re-opening of the 6-week MO<\/strong><strong>OC on \u201cCommon Challenges of Competing Regionalisms\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(2 ECTS). The course includes the pre-recorded video-lectures and interactive multimedia material by in-house Skytte staff and partnering experts of the module. The MOOC is open from October 18 to November 28 on the Learning Management System of the University of Tartu \u2013 Moodle. Registration closes on October 14 and is available at the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ut.ee\/en\/mooc\/common-challenges-competing-regionalisms\">link<\/a>. The course is free of charge and is open to everyone interested in the topic!\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>Three courses supported by the module:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ois2.ut.ee\/#\/courses\/P2EC.00.239\/version\/e7041085-5434-a765-4f3c-ba71ddc41a37\/details\">\u201cThe European Union \u2013 Current Affairs\u201d<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ois2.ut.ee\/#\/courses\/SORG.00.075\/version\/68d92854-dccc-a036-8eeb-6ca7a0cf777c\/details\">\u201cIntroduction to the European Union\u201d<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ois2.ut.ee\/#\/courses\/P2EC.00.234\/version\/de7787df-ceaa-d5cf-1db9-2cd59d17be7c\/details\">\u201cEU History and Integration Process\u201d<\/a>.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>One course developed and updated<\/strong>\u00a0within the framework of the module:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ois2.ut.ee\/#\/courses\/SVJS.00.030\/version\/93245451-79d6-bbdd-cf58-c300f70c8e5f\/details\">\u201cRegional Integration Processes in Europe and Eurasia\u201d<\/a>.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>A number of NearEU MasterClasses<\/strong>\u00a0by partnering experts and decision-makers. Some of the forthcoming events include: Dr. Rejna Shehi Zenelaj (Epoka University, Albania) on October 28, Ms. Yana Toom MEP (RenewEurope) on October 29, and Ms. Marina Kaljurand (S&amp;D) on November 05. The master classes are announced through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/UTeurus\/\">Facebook page of \u201cEuropean Union \u2013 Russia Studies\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and opened to everyone interested.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong>Study visit to Tallinn<\/strong>\u00a0on November 27-28 including meetings with representatives, policy-makers, institutions, and think-tanks.\u00a0\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tThe project is coordinated by the University of Tartu and led by Dr. Stefano Braghiroli \u2013 Associate Professor of European Studies and Director of the Master\u2019s Programme in \u201cEuropean Union \u2013 Russia Studies\u201d \u2013 and Ms. Anna Beitane \u2013 Manager of Online Learning Projects at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. It includes a network of partners from Albania, Armenia, Montenegro, Poland, and Ukraine. Particular attention is devoted to the involvement of junior instructors and early stage researchers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe module aims to create new knowledge, tools, and resources related to the evolution of partners\u2019 and candidates\u2019 relationship with the EU and alternative models of regionalism. NearEU is functional to the creation and the support of the new \u201cEuropean Union \u2013 Russia Studies\u201d module within the framework of the master\u2019s programme in \u201cInternational relations and regional studies\u201d at the J.
