To what extent could special attention to the development of intercultural skills and competences for academic and professional purposes be the sixth success factor of multilingual universities?\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\t\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>\r\n\t<strong>Good practices in Multilingual Education: Comparison of Multilingual Universities\u2019 Models<\/strong>\r\n<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\tMultilingualism in European higher education is closely connected\u00a0with issues of quality and attractiveness of tertiary education in many European\u00a0countries, especially in the countries and regions whose geographical locations\u00a0and historical backgrounds have greatly shaped their multilingual and multicultural\u00a0identities. Universities in such regions may be considered as effective examples of\u00a0how multilingualism can be supported at the higher education level administratively,\u00a0academically, socially, etc. Multilingualism is viewed broadly \u2013 it does not only imply\u00a0the knowledge of a mother tongue and mastery of the English language but also the\u00a0knowledge of languages of neighbouring countries and languages of ethnic minorities.<br>The article\u00a0presents the trilingual educational model of Narva\u00a0College of the University of Tartu (Estonia) in comparison with other European multilingual\u00a0universities\u2019 models (Switzerland, Finland, Italy, and Luxembourg) and to discuss\u00a0nowadays tendencies in their development.\u00a0\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\tRaud, N. &amp; Raik, K.
