Welcome to the workshop for studying atmospheric nanoclusters with modelling and measurements.

Atmospheric nanoclusters are small atmospheric aerosol particles that are too small to be "proper" physical particles and too big for being a chemical molecules. They behave sometimes as aerosol particles and sometimes as gas molecules. This makes the studying of them challenging and involves techniques from measuring mobilities and mass, but also thermodynamic calculations and modelling. Unfortunately often the measurement community and the modelling community are not interacting enough with each other.

Aim of the workshop is to improve communication between this two group of researches and take advantage of both regimes of research to understand the true nature of atmospheric nanoclusters.

This workshop is jointly organised by Institute of Physics, University of Tartu and Department of Physics, University of Helsinki

Workshop starts on Monday 27.11 about 10 am and ends on Tuesday   28.11 at  3.30 pm’
