The venue and accommodation buildings can be found on the Tartu City center<\/a> map.<\/p>\n

The lecture room is equipped with a PowerPoint projector, audio equipment, and an overhead projector. If lecturers need some other technical devices, they should contact the organisers in good time. The poster session will take place in the hall adjacent to the lecture room.<\/p>\n

The Team Work venue is 21 km outside Tartu:<\/p>\n

Meals<\/span>
\nFor guests at the Hotel Dorpat breakfast will be served at the hotel. People at the University campus can make their own breakfast in the room. Lunches on August 1-4\u00a0 will be in the restaurant of the Aparaaditehas<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accommodation<\/span>
\nParticipants will have the choice between accommodation in single or shared double and triple rooms at the Hotel Dorpat (en-suite bathrooms) or in the University campus Raatuse student hostel twin bedrooms.<\/p>\n

University campus Raatuse student hostel<\/strong><\/p>\n

University campus Raatuse hostel offers two-bed shared rooms with a bathroom and kitchen shared between three rooms. No breakfast is included, but the kitchen allows DIY cooking. A bed in shared twin room is 20 Eur\/per night and single stay at the room is 40 EUR \/per night.<\/span><\/div>\n

Hotel Dorpat<\/strong>
\nThe rooms at Hotel Dorpat are equipped with two single beds 90x200cm, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, high-speed WiFi, cable Internet, direct-dial telephone, writing desk, blackout blinds, underfloor heating in the bathroom, shower, and hairdryer. Buffet breakfast is included in the hotel price. The hotel is a 15-minute walking distance from the venue and next to the coach station.<\/span><\/p>\n

Access to the venue<\/p>\n

By air<\/span>
\nThe best way is first to fly into\u00a0Tallinn Lennart Meri International Airport<\/a>\u00a0at \u00dclemiste (IATA code:\u00a0TLL<\/b>). There are several connections to Tallinn from many different European airports. Flights are offered by different airlines directly as well as\u00a0<\/span>Air Baltic<\/a> (via Riga). The airport is very close to the city near Lake \u00dclemiste. Coming from outside Europe, you probably have to change at Frankfurt, Amsterdam or London.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arriving at Tallinn Airport\u00a0<\/strong>it is best to take one of the frequent buses and check the following webpage <\/a>for information. The distance is 180 km and the travel time by bus is about 2:30 h. Please make sure that you choose \u201cTallinn Airport\u201d (in Estonian: Tallinna lennujaam<\/em>)<\/u> as your point of departure! Tickets should be purchased in advance, especially on Fridays and Sundays. However, if the plane is late you lose the ticket. The vending machine takes credit cards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Riga airport<\/a><\/strong> has more numerous connections with the rest of Europe than Tallinn has, so considering Riga is an option. There are about 3 direct bus services a day between two cities (250 km apart), both ways; see\u00a0<\/span>Lux Express<\/a>\u00a0or <\/span>Flix bus<\/a> for schedules and tickets. Some buses depart from the airport, but not all, so also check Riga coach station as a departure point. Travel from Riga Airport to the coach station can take some time though in peak hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arriving at Tartu bus station you are almost in front of Hotel Dorpat (50 m walk). To go to Raatuse Hostel, walk past the front to the Hotel Dorpat until you reach the river Emaj\u00f5gi. Cross the river along the bridge just in front of you, follow Narva mnt (street) north for about 250 m, at the first traffic lights, turn right onto Raatuse road. After 150 m you see the hostel on the left.<\/p>\n

By bus<\/span>
\nThere are several connections from different cities to Tartu. From the Tallinn main bus station, there are frequent connections to Tartu. The travel time is about 2h 25 min, Information about timetables and sale of tickets is found <\/span>here<\/a>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

By train<\/span>
\nTartu train station is west of the city center, about 20 min walk. Infos and timetables can be found on the Elron homepage.<\/span>\u00a0From the\u00a0Tallinn Airport<\/a>\u00a0you have to go to the \u201c\u00dclemiste<\/strong>\u201d station (1 km walk). To do so, exit the airport towards the tram station (turn right from the customs exit). Follow \u201cKeevise\u201d street until \u201cSuur-s\u00f5jam\u00e4e\u201d street and you will see the train platform across the street on your left. Or take the tram number 4 to \u201c\u00dclemiste jaam\u201d (2 stops). Walk back around the T1 shopping center and under the railway, then turn left and upstairs to the railway platform (250 m walk). If you make a stop-over in Tallinn you can also board the train at the main station Balti jaam<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

About 11 trains operate per day between Tallinn and Tartu, of which 8 are express trains. Express trains journey time is 2h 15 min.<\/p>\n
