Yanyu received her doctoral degree from the University of Newcastle and is working with us on the Estonian Research Council-funded project \u201cNative Language Experience and the Brain\u2019s Perception and Learning of a Foreign Language,\u201d focusing on the learning of Mandarin tones by Estonian and English native speakers.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emily\u2019s MA thesis examines the emotions experienced by Russian-speaking students who major in a subject taught in Estonian, a foreign language to them. We aim to investigate how the control-value appraisals of the subject and the control-value appraisals of the foreign language interact to influence their emotions during the learning process.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n
