The text fragment \u201cSu\u2019dma\u013c\u201d (\u201cThe mill\u201d) is from Julius M\u00e4giste\u2019s collection <em><strong>Liivil\u00e4isi\u00e4 tekstej\u00e4<\/strong> <\/em>(1964), the second text fragment is taken from Seppo Suhonen\u2019s collection <em><strong>Liivin kielen n\u00e4ytteit\u00e4<\/strong> <\/em>(1975), and the third piece contains descriptions of customs and beliefs from Eemil Nestor Set\u00e4l\u00e4\u2019s collection <strong><em>N\u00e4ytteit\u00e4 liivin kielest\u00e4<\/em><\/strong> (1953).
