Welcome to the Livonian online textbook!<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating this online textbook arose primarily from the need to gather relevant audiovisual materials and necessary web links connected to the printed version of the Livonian language textbook on one platform. This way, users could easily access, for example, songs on YouTube as well as various archival materials, which could otherwise be difficult to find. We have asked Livonians to read the dialogues and expressions found in the printed version of the textbook. Thanks to the online textbook, anyone interested can listen to them. A\u00a0sun-shaped symbol<\/strong>\u00a0is used to direct you from the paper textbook to the online textbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that the lessons in the online textbook overlap with the paper version, but the sub-sections in the online version nevertheless have their own numbering. One reason is that we are\u00a0continuously updating the online textbook<\/strong>. In addition to audiovisual material, we have already added, for example, new exercises and texts. We have also started to add translations of texts, poems, and songs to the online textbook, in order to provide support for independent learners. The paper textbook, however, is primarily intended for use under the guidance of a teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
