UoL serves a diverse student body through its three schools: the CIIM Business School, the Technology and Innovation School, and the Social Sciences and Humanities School. With plans for further expansion into fields such as Law and Health Sciences, UoL combines comprehensive academic offerings with a strong focus on research, innovation, and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UoL\u2019s expertise is aligned with the Erasmus+ program\u2019s emphasis on fostering education, equity, and social inclusion. Its scope of work includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Education and Training: UoL delivers specialized undergraduate and postgraduate programs and professional development opportunities tailored to meet the evolving needs of students and professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research and Innovation: The university conducts impactful research in fields such as sustainable development, digital transformation, and educational equity, addressing societal challenges and supporting policy development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community Engagement: UoL actively collaborates with local and international stakeholders, including businesses, public entities, and non-profits, to promote inclusion, social equity, and innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Education at UoL plays a pivotal role in advancing education through research and practices that integrate technology, foster digital literacy, and promote equity and collaboration in learning outcomes. The department\u2019s work on innovative teacher training methodologies aligns with Erasmus+ priorities, ensuring its contributions to transformative educational projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Key persons in LIFT project<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Maria Vrikki<\/strong> is an Assistant Professor at the University of Limassol. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of Lesson Study that support teacher learning, as well as the impact of Lesson Study on student achievement. Maria has worked on two large-scale research projects at the University of Cambridge and the University of Cyprus, implementing the Lesson Study model in the practices of in-service mathematics teachers. She has presented her work at national and international conferences and has published it widely. Maria was a keynote speaker at the 2023 WALS (World Association of Lesson Studies) conference in Zwolle, Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Maria Anastasou<\/strong> is a Lecturer in Education at the University of Limassol with extensive expertise in educational effectiveness and equity research. Her research focuses on understanding and addressing achievement gaps stemming from socioeconomic disparities and exploring strategies to enhance teacher and school effectiveness.
