LIFT project helps us to apply successful in-service professional development knowledge to pre-service education. Using lesson study (LS) as an approach in initial teacher education (ITE), the project aims to empower pre-service teachers (PSTs) with skills and capabilities as preparation for their future teaching career. While initiatives have been made to incorporate LS into the teacher education curriculum, its implementation in Europe has been somewhat sporadic and uncoordinated. The LIFT project unites European higher education institutions using LS with a shared aim of establishing a common model to further support LS use in Europe by providing a blueprint, various resources and instruments.<\/p>\n<\/div> Implementation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n The LIFT blueprint is used throughout the project to support pre-service teachers\u00b4 development.
