There will be a brief presentation \u201cThe history of Northern ornamental knitting and its peculiarities\u201d as well. Threads will be provided by teacher.<\/p><p><em>Teacher <strong>Vera Maksimovskaya<\/strong> (b. 1983)\u00a0is from Arkhangelsk and also lives there. She works as a pedagogue of extracurricular education in Folkcrafts school for children. She is the head of the workshop \u201cNorthern ornamental knitting\u201d since 2010 and teaches children aged 8-18.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Vera is a craftswoman of Arkhangelsk region, she has been specialised on ornamental knitting and is good at traditional techniques of Northern knitting. She has taken part from regional, Russian and international exhibitions in Arkhangelsk, Vologda, St.Petersburg\u00a0 and Moscow.\u00a0 In February, 2017 Vera took part from the seminar \u201cWool in the north\u201d in Norway.\u00a0\u00a0 For 10 years she has conducted remote courses in ornamental knitting within the project \u201cRemote training in Russian Northern folk crafts\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/away.php?to=http%3A%2F%2Fremeslodo.ru&amp;cc_key=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">remeslodo.ru<\/a>), where people from different parts of Russia are taught.
