Kemikaal ei ole midagi ebatavalist:\u00a0oma igap\u00e4evaelus kohtad Sa neid p\u00e4ris mitmeid, n\u00e4iteks erinevad lahustid v\u00e4rvide jaoks, koduses majapidamises leiduvad puhastusvahendid, \u00e4\u00e4dikas, lillev\u00e4etised, aga ka paljud teised ained. Laboris t\u00f6\u00f6tades hoia oma t\u00f6\u00f6laud korras ja katsete l\u00e4biviimisel l\u00e4htu juhendist v\u00f5i \u00f5petaja selgitustest. Katseid tee ainult laua kohal ja etten\u00e4htud kemikaalikoguste ning katsevahenditega. Vedelikke vala peene joana ning v\u00e4ldi kemikaali sattumist pudeli sildile, selleks hoia silti suunaga \u00fclespoole. Reaktiivipudeli kork aseta lauale tagurpidi ning sulge pudel kohe\u00a0p\u00e4rast sealt aine v\u00f5tmist. Kuumutamisel ole eriti hoolikas:\u00a0kasuta p\u00f5letit v\u00f5i piirituslampi ainult selleks vajalikul ajal, lahtine leek on v\u00e4ga suur ohuallikas. P\u00f5letit kasutatakse eelk\u00f5ige katseklaasis olevate ainete kuumutamisel. Kuna klaas on k\u00fcllaltki hea soojusjuht, tuleb katseklaasi hoida katseklaasihoidja vahel, kusjuures katseklaas peaks olema kuni maksimaalselt kolmandiku ulatuses t\u00e4idetud. Katseklaasi tuleb p\u00f5leti leegis kuumutamise ajal liigutada, hoides katseklaasi kaldu ning selle suue peab olema suunatud endast ja kaaslastest eemale, sest kuumutatav vedelik v\u00f5ib katseklaasist v\u00e4lja paiskuda.
