Lai vaatenurk (290 km), palju spektrikanaleid ning tihedam \u00fclelendude arv (Eesti kohal paar korda n\u00e4dalas) loovad optilises seires unikaalse situatsiooni. Aastal 2015 saadeti orbiidile Sentinel-2A, mis oli esimene optiline satelliit Copernicuse programmis. Sentinel-2A andmete abil saab m\u00e4\u00e4rata maakasutust ning selle muutusi, lehe klorof\u00fclli ning vee sisaldust. Aastal 2017 saadeti orbiidile Sentinel-2B.
