If you are open and reflect on the experiences you gain, you can learn a lot about yourself. Your future career and related educational goals will become clearer during practical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Practical training goals:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>linking theory and practice through actual work experience to strengthen what has been learned and achieve curriculum outcomes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>supporting and supplementing existing professional skills and learn new ones;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>developing <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/karjaarivarav\/en\/future-skills\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/karjaarivarav\/en\/future-skills\/\">future skills<\/a> and self-confidence besides professional competence;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gaining ideas about personal development needs and desires through self-analysis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>experiencing the role of an employee and discussing it with the supervisor;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gathering material for writing projects, a research study, or a thesis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gaining more information about the world of work and the specific field, which helps make career choices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Besides increasing professional competence, practical training helps you:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>increase your learning motivation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop time management skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>create or extend your professional network;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increase the likelihood of being employed by the same institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop your job searching and application skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gain work experience that you can add to your CV;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand how well it suits you to attend work conscientiously, take on responsibilities at work, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This list is certainly not exhaustive, but it helps you think about your interests and desires, as well as skills, abilities, and opportunities when you go to practical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"table table-hover\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Time to reflect<\/strong><br>What do you expect from the practical training?<br>What knowledge do you want to reinforce?<br>What skills do you want to develop?<br>What kind of work experience do you want to gain?<br>What duties would you be happy to perform?<br>At what kind of company or institution would you like to train?
