{"id":3417,"date":"2024-04-04T02:50:48","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T23:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/juhendid\/?page_id=3417"},"modified":"2024-06-14T14:46:56","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T11:46:56","slug":"creating-quiz-watu-pro","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/juhendid\/creating-quiz-watu-pro\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Creating quiz (Watu PRO)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Testiloomine-Testilisaminejatestiseadetem\u00e4\u00e4ramine\">Adding a quiz and specifying quiz settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can add a self-quiz to a page with 7 different question types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a quiz:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the Watu PRO plugin is not active on the site, it can be activated via the Plugins link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the left-side menu choose <em>Watu PRO \u2013 Manage Quizzes \u2013 Create New Quiz<\/em>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the <strong><em>Name and Descriptions<\/em><\/strong> fields\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name the quiz (<em>Quiz Name<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick <em>Deactivate this quiz<\/em> if you want to make the quiz initially inactive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick <em>Automatically publish this quiz in new post once I hit the \u201cSave\u201d button. (The new post will be auto-generated with the quiz title used for post title.<\/em>) if you want to create a post with the title of the quiz to the site, where this quiz is automatically pasted. <strong>PS!<\/strong> If your site is made up of pages, not posts, do not select this check box and manually create the page where you will paste the quiz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add an optional description to the quiz (<em>Optional description<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong><em>General Settings<\/em><\/strong> tab, select the general settings for the quiz.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose the randomization level of the questions and answers (<em>Randomization<\/em>) by selecting whether the question and answer choices are displayed in the order they were added, whether both the questions and the answers are presented in a random order, whether only the questions are presented randomly, or only the answer choices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a time limit to the quiz if you want to (<em>Set time limit of x minutes<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determine the placement of the questions on the page: <em>Pagination<\/em> \u2013 all questions on one page (<em>All questions in single page<\/em>), questions displayed by category (<em>One page per question category<\/em>), each question on a separate page (<em>Each question on its own page<\/em>), desired number of questions on one page (<em>Custom number per page<\/em>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If question numbers are displayed or not (<em>Do not display question numbers<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How are answer choices called: <em>None<\/em>, with <em>Numbers<\/em>, with <em>Capital letters<\/em>, with <em>Small letters<\/em>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose question designs (<em>Select design theme<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the time when the quiz is active (<em>Schedule quiz<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong><em>Save All Settings<\/em><\/strong> to add the quiz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you go to edit the quiz (<strong><em>Edit this quiz<\/em><\/strong>), you can also make choices in the additional settings tab (<strong><em>Other Advanced Settings<\/em><\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong><em>Final Page\/Quiz Results<\/em><\/strong> tab, the <strong><em>Final Screen<\/em><\/strong> section displays the text, which is displayed to the quiz taker along with quiz results after completing the quiz. questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To create a question:\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the <strong>Watu Pro<\/strong> quizzes page, click on the <strong><em>Questions<\/em><\/strong> link in the relevant quiz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To add a new question click <strong><em>Create new question<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 7 question types to choose from:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><strong>Single choice<\/strong> (Radio buttons)<\/em> \u2013 respondent marks one correct answer from the given statement is true or false<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Multiple choice<\/strong> (Checkboxes)<\/em> \u2013 respondent marks correct answers from the given options\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Open End<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 respondent writes a free-form answer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Fill The Caps<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 respondent must fill in the blanks or select an answer from a drop-down menu\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Sort the values<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 respondent drags the presented values \u200b\u200binto the correct (case-insensitive)<\/em>), <em>Strict exact match (case-sensitive)<\/em>)\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Answer box size (<em>Display mode<\/em>): single line, medium size box, large size respondent\u2019s answer.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the question (<em>Save Question<\/em>), save and reuse as a template for a new question (<em>Save and Reuse as New<\/em>) or save and display the preview (<em>Save and Preview<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fill the Gaps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Write the question title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you add a new question choose <strong><em>Fill in Gaps<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enter gap text in the add question box<\/strong>, with the gaps enclosed in triple logical brackets:<br>For \u2018fill in the gaps\u2019 questions, simply enter the correct text and place {{{ and }}} around the phrases, which should turn into gaps (without spaces). For example: \u201cThe color of the sun is {{{yellow}}}.\u201d In this case, the respondent will be shown an input box instead of \u201c{{{yellow}}}\u201d.<br>You can add multiple correct answers for each gap by separating them with |. For example: \u201cThe color of a good apple can be {{{green|yellow|red}}}\u201d.<br>You can also specify the correct number range in the following format: {{{x\u2026y}}}. For example, to accept any answer between 2.5 and 10, enter {{{2.5\u202610}}}.<br>If you want to accept decimals, the first value in the range must contain decimals. You can leave empty lines, and if the value must contain a new line, use the HTML<br>tag for line breaks. Click <em>Add more matches<\/em> to add subsequent matching pairs.
