In the assignment settings page you can determine submission type \u2013 a single file or multiple files, online text or Mahara e-portfolio, individual or group submissions. In an online text the learner may also include two-minute audio and video clips. If an assignment is submitted as group work, you can assess each learner individually or the whole group together; using a numerical or verbal evaluation scale or a rubric (see <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/hindamine_maatriks.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #428bca;\">example<\/span><\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #565656;\">) or a marking guide (see <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/hindamine_juhend.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #428bca;\">example<\/span><\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #565656;\">). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin: 15.0pt 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #2a5188;\">To add an assignment: <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">in the drop-down menu that opens under <em>Add an activity or resource<\/em><i>, <\/i>select <em>Assignment<\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">give the assignment a name and add a description <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">ensure that Allow submissions from and Due dates are turned off or properly set <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">determine the types of submissions <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">if the submission setting: <em>Require students click submit button<\/em> is set to \u201cYes\u201d, the submission is locked and the learner cannot edit or resubmit it before the teacher has reverted it to draft status<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">set whether the assignment is submitted individually or as group work (<em>Group submission settings<\/em>) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">determine the grade settings for the assignment <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"border-bottom: dotted#eeeeee2.25pt; border-top: dotted#eeeeee2.25pt; border-left: none; border-right: none; padding: 4.0pt0cm5.0pt0cm;\">\n<h5 style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; border: none; padding: 0cm; margin: 7.5pt 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #a02b2b;\">NB! By default, each assignment is graded on a 100-point numerical scale. You should definitely customise the scale to suit your needs. <\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"margin: 15.0pt 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #2a5188;\">For group submissions and assessment: <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">create groups for group work and, if necessary, groupings (if in addition to group work groups there are also seminar groups, etc.) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">in the group submission settings of the assignment, select <em>Students submit in groups \u2013 Yes<\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">under <em>Grouping for student groups<\/em>, in the drop-down menu, select a grouping formed of group work groups <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">in general module settings, set the group mode \u2013 either visible or separate groups <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #565656;\">In a group submission assignment the teacher can choose whether to grade each member of the group individually or give a grade to the whole group.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin: 15.0pt 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #2a5188;\">To grade learners: <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">click on the assignment name and then in the middle of the screen on <em>View\/grade all submissions<\/em> \u2013 you will see a table in which all learners\u2019 submissions will be placed <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">to turn on quick grading, tick the box at <em>Quick grading<\/em> \u2013 this enables adding grades and comments separately to each learner in the table <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">learners\u2019 submissions can be viewed in the column <em>File submission<\/em> or <em>Online text<\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #565656;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">choose a verbal evaluation from drop-down menu or enter score (decimals may be used), enter feedback comments <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"border-bottom: dotted#eeeeee2.25pt; border-top: dotted#eeeeee2.25pt; border-left: none; border-right: none; padding: 4.0pt0cm5.0pt0cm;\">\n<h5 style=\"line-height: 18.0pt; border: none; padding: 0cm; margin: 7.5pt 0cm 7.5pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #a02b2b;\">NB!
