  2. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tRequest <\/span><\/span><\/b>the course template<\/span><\/span> in the test environment by writing to<\/span><\/span> eope@ut.ee<\/span><\/span><\/a>, stating the name of the course, the course code, the names of lecturers and the number of test takers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n
  3. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tIt is recommended to use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to take a test with Proctorio. Install <\/b>the Proctorio extension (<\/span><\/span>Chrome<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/span>Edge<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>) in the browser. Proctorio is also compatible with Opera and Brave (used with <\/span><\/span>Proctorio Chrome extension<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>). After conducting a test with Proctorio, it is recommended to disable <\/b>the Proctorio extension in the Extensions section of browser settings or to uninstall Proctorio if you know that you will no longer need it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n
  4. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tAdd the Secure Exam Proctor\u00a0tool <\/b>into the course\u00a0that is integrated with Proctorio and pre-configured as needed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n
  5. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tCreate a qiuiz for the course and configure<\/b> the use of Proctorio in the quiz settings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n
  6. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tInform <\/span><\/span><\/b>the learners about what activities are necessary and permitted during the test and what activities are prohibited. Offer learners the opportunity to take a sample quiz<\/b> with the same configuration. If the learner does not agree to taking the test with Proctorio on his or her personal computer, the university must offer the opportunity to take the test with Proctorio on the university\u2019s computer<\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n
  8. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter the test, review <\/b>the quiz recordings. Please note that the recordings are stored on the Proctorio server for one month<\/b> and then automatically deleted.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\t\tOverview of Proctorio<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    \n\t<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    \n\tProctorio<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> (<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>https:\/\/proctorio.com<\/span><\/span><\/a>) is a monitoring system for electronic tests that helps to identify possible violations by test takers, i.e. academic fraud. During the test, the test taker is not monitored in real time, but a webcam, microphone and screen recorder are used to record a video of the test taker and what is happening on the computer screen.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tIt is recommended to use Microsoft Edge<\/b> or Google Chrome<\/b> to take a test with Proctorio. Install the Proctorio extension<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> (<\/span><\/span><\/span>Chrome<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Edge<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>) <\/span><\/span><\/span>in the browser. Proctorio is also compatible with Opera and Brave (used with<\/span><\/span><\/span> Proctorio Chrome extension<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>). <\/span><\/span><\/span>The extension needs to be installed once and is automatically updated. <\/b>After conducting or taking a test with Proctorio, it is recommended to disable<\/b> the Proctorio e<\/span><\/span><\/span>xtension in the Extensions section of browser settings or to uninstall Proctorio if you know that you no longer need it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tTaking a test<\/span><\/span><\/span> with Proctorio requires equipment and internet connection that meet certain specific requirements: <\/span><\/span><\/span>https:\/\/proctorio.com\/system-requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tTo take a test, the<\/span><\/span><\/span> learner must use the Proctorio extension to give access to his or her computer and allow the webcam image, microphone sound and computer screen to be recorded. Just before starting the test, the test taker <\/b>confirms that he or she agrees to the recording.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tThe data stored during the test attempt will move in encrypted form to the server of Proctorio\u2019s service provider and will be<\/span><\/span><\/span> automatically deleted after one month<\/b>. A contract approved by the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate has been concluded with the service provider and the collected data will be processed under the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\t\tLicences<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    \n\t<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    \n\tThe University of Tartu has bought<\/span><\/span><\/span> 1,000 one-year user-based licences for using Proctorio. The cost of one user-based licence is 7.5 euros and with this type of licence, one user can take any number of tests with Proctorio (sample tests, tests and exams of different courses). The first 1,000 licences are paid for centrally. If it turns out that 1,000 user licenses are not enough for the university, we can get additional licences, but at the end of the period, the additional licences will have to be paid for by the structural units themselves according to the actual use within the courses of structural units.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\t\tProctorio can be used in the testing environment <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>https:\/\/testid.ut.ee<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>
    \n\t<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    \n\tProctorio is available in the testing environment <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>https:\/\/testid.ut.ee<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, which is a separate Moodle installation for admission and exam tests. A test in the testing environment can have the same question types as the Moodle (<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>https:\/\/moodle.ut.ee<\/span><\/span><\/a>) tests.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tThe<\/span><\/span><\/span> testing environment can be accessed with the username and password of the university\u2019s computer network (NOT OpenID like Moodle). If the user has entered the testing environment with the user account and his\/her personal identification code imported from the university\u2019s central register is available in the database, it will be later possible to enter the environment with an ID card or Smart-ID. If the user adds their mobile phone number to their profile <\/i>(in the Optional section), it will also be possible to enter with Mobile-ID:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
