Jooksu kui t\u00fc\u00fcpilise vastupidavusala ajal rakenduvad tegevusse suured lihasr\u00fchmad, kasutatakse eelistatult aeroobset energeetikat ning lihastegevus on r\u00fctmiline ja kestev. Jooksutreeninguga tegelemine tugevdab tervist, arendab hingamis- ja vereringes\u00fcsteemi, s\u00fcdant ja lihaseid ning peale selle pakub veel positiivseid emotsioone ja v\u00e4hendab stressi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>1970. aastatel sai USA-s alguse jooksubuum, mis peatselt j\u00f5udis ka L\u00e4\u00e4ne\u2013Euroopasse, selle tulemusel jookseb t\u00e4nasel p\u00e4eval maailma suurematel linnamaratonidel 30 000\u201340 000 jooksjat.<\/p>\n<p>Naiste maratonijooksu t\u00f5elise buumi alguseks v\u00f5ib lugeda aastat 1984, mil naiste maraton oli esmakordselt kavas ol\u00fcmpiam\u00e4ngudel. Kui 1984. aastal oli veel 1% k\u00f5igil maratonidel finiseerunud jooksjatest naised, siis n\u00fc\u00fcd on see protsent juba \u00fcle 20ne. Sarnaselt muu maailmaga on jooksubuum j\u00f5udnud ka Eestisse, selle t\u00f5estuseks on 2013. a\u00a0 SEB Tallinna Maratoni jooksu\u00fcrituste osalejate arv, mis \u00fcletas 20 000 piiri.
