We will learn what and how to talk about Islam? Who are the Muslims, and what do they believe in? Which rules of Muslim behavior are related to culture and which to religion? Secularism in Islamic societies today \u2013 what are the biggest challenges? Which societies are ready to practice democratic systems? The Middle East and North Africa have the highest intergenerational educational mobility. What has hindered the development of education? Various countries in the Middle East and North Africa face significant environmental and climate challenges. We will explore how Islamic eco-activists use religious thinking and spirituality to save and protect nature.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/islam\/week-iv\/\">Open chapter<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-4\">\n<div class=\"panel\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"panel-img-top\" src=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/478\/v-week-islam.png\" alt=\"Banner\">\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<h5 class=\"panel-title\">Week V<\/h5>\n<p class=\"panel-text\">During this last week, we will focus\u00a0on\u00a0the diversity of Islam. Is there one Islam, or would it be correct to talk about many Islams instead? How monolithic and homogeneous is the Islamic religion?\u00a0There have been different schools and directions of interpretation in Islam throughout history.
