We are looking forward to meeting you all at the conference online this year due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that students who have been awarded the grant MUST attend the conference online and introduce yourself to TCLT chair, Dr. Maiga Chang, just for check-in purpose. If you failed to check in with the TCLT chair during ICALT 2020, you may no longer be eligible to receive the award.<\/p>\n<p>Student travel award (i.e., the SINGLE author registration fee) is available in the form of reimbursements that are sent, within TWO WEEKS, ONLY AFTER the completion of the conference and related documentation and receipts are required. According to IEEE policy, awarded student needs to submit directly to the TC finance officer with a completed W8 or W9 IRS Form (It is not really for tax purposes, but having the details on location\/address) and the IEEE Student Travel Grant Form with original receipts AFTER the Conference in order to get reimbursed.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive the instruction of the IEEE reimbursement process as well as the IEEE Student Travel Grant Form and the W8\/W9 IRS Form later, by email, AFTER the conference from TCLT Chair.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>IEEE TCLT Student Travel Award Application (for ICALT 2020)<\/p>\n<p>The IEEE Technical Committee on Learning Technologies has announced student travel awards for ICALT 2020 student author\u2019s registration fee reimbursement only due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>GUIDELINES<\/p>\n<p>1. Student authors of papers accepted in ICALT 2020 are eligible to apply.<br>\n2. Preference will be given to student authors whose affiliations (not their nationality) belong to underpresented group countries of ICALT 2020 (i.e., countries that have equal or less than five authors submitting their paper to ICALT 2020, including co-authorship: Austria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Iraq, Ireland, Lithuania, Namibia, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan).<br>\n3. Preference will be given to first authors of full papers and DC authors.<br>\n4. Preference will be given to graduate students (doctoral or masters).<br>\n5. Awarded students will be able to have reimbursement for their author registration fee.<br>\n6. There are only limited student awards availabile.<br>\n7. Students who have been awarded the grant MUST register and attend the conference.<\/p>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY<br>\n* Applicants were requested to fill the form to apply for the grant.<br>\n* A proof of student affiliation to an academic institution (e.g., photo\/scan of valid student cards or a letter from advisor\/guide) will have to be uploaded on Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive and have an accessible sharing link for filling the form.<\/p>\n<p>SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 15, 2020<\/p>\n<p>NOTIFICATION<br>\nResults will be notified to the selected applicants via the e-mail address provided during the application submission process by May 18, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year, we received a lot of applications.
