It may be the case that exchange or degree-seeking students receive a stipend for their studies from University of Tartu. If it is your case, please read carefully the following information.
Exchange students who have been informed beforehand that they receive a stipend from the University of Tartu must open a bank account in a local bank during the first week of the semester and insert their account number to SIS/ÕIS. Stipends are transferred to the student’s bank account. If there are some obstacles, stipends can also be paid out in cash. In any case, please consult your coordinator which option is best for you personally.
NB! Please make sure that you insert your Estonian bank account number to SIS.
- Students coming here under bilateral agreement and ISEP: the stipend is paid only for the period when student lives and studies in Tartu (calculated by student being here over 15th day of the month every month)! No stipend for February/September will be paid if the student arrives later than February/September 20. No stipend for June/January is paid if student leaves in May/December.
Erasmus ICM programme students must sign the grant agreement before they can get the grant. Additional information about the grant and the payments is sent directly to students by the coordinator.
The students who have been informed beforehand that they receive a stipend from the University of Tartu must open a bank account in a local bank during the first week of the semester and insert their account number to SIS/ÕIS. They have also been informed that the first payments will be made in October and further information on the payment will be available at the beginning of semester. PhD students have been informed that PhD study allowance can be paid out as soon as TRP is available.
