A Theoretical Materials Modelling Course for PhD students is being developed in cooperation with ICL and UTARTU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Launch of the Materials Modelling Centre (MMC) at UTARTU. The first Materials Modeling Day, which featured talks on various branches of physics, chemistry, and materials science focusing on theoretical studies, was held at the Institute of Physics with 40 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 An advanced luminescence setup for the study of new scintillators at the FemtoMAX beamline at the MAX-IV has been successfully accomplished (<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1063\/5.0298955\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1063\/5.0298955<\/a>). With an expected time resolution of 30 ps, the experimental setup will allow new users from the scintillation community to research ultrafast scintillators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 A setup for in-situ illumination is launched for neutron research at ILL. The setup is being developed for time-resolved optical pump-QENS probe experiments with LED\/laser illumination at the IN16B beamline of the ILL neutron source. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Organising of R\u00f6ntgen-\u00c5ngstr\u00f6m-Cluster (R\u00c5C) International Summer School with focal theme \u201eDiffraction and Spectroscopy in Materials Science\u201c in Tallinn (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rac-school.org\/archive\/rac2025\/\">https:\/\/www.rac-school.org\/archive\/rac2025\/<\/a>). The school was attended by 56 students and 21 lecturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>EXANST expected results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">Complete sub-research on novel scintillators, energy materials and smart biomaterials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">At least 10 co-authored articles with advanced partners submitted to high impact journals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">At least 24 presentations at leading conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">Lead the submission of at least 2 international research proposals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">Host an international summer school with at least 40 participants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">At least 3 Joint PhDs supervised with advanced partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-extra-large-font-size\">At least 10 project managers trained in international project management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The main achievements at the midterm: \u2013 Joint supervision of three PhD students between UTARTU and ICL, UTARTU and FZJ, UTARTU and MAXIV Lab.
