She acquired a BA in literature and folklore and in 2018 an MA in literature and theatre studies at the University of Tartu.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">From 2007\u20132013, P\u00f5ldver worked as a trainee at <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/t\/tammsaare\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/t\/tammsaare\" title=\"\">A. H. Tammsaare<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"> Museum at Vargam\u00e4e, an assistant at the Estonian Literary Museum, an administrator at Tartu Student Village, a support person at Johannes Mihkelson Centre and a proofreader at <em>Postimees<\/em> newspaper. From 2013, she has worked as a language editor. From 2006, Piret P\u00f5ldver has written book reviews and literary criticism for the periodicals <em>Eesti P\u00e4evaleht<\/em>, <em>Looming<\/em>, <em>Vikerkaar<\/em>, <em>Sirp<\/em>, Estonian Literary Magazine, <em>Eesti Ekspress<\/em>, and <em>V\u00e4rske R\u00f5hk<\/em>. From 2017, she has published interviews with Estonian writers (<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/p\/partna\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/p\/partna\" title=\"\">Maarja P\u00e4rtna<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/h\/mehisheinsaar\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/h\/mehisheinsaar\" title=\"\">Mehis Heinsaar<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/evakoff\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/evakoff\" title=\"\">Eva Koff<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">, Marko Kompus, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/kruusa\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/kruusa\" title=\"\">Kalju Kruusa<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/kasemaa\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/kasemaa\" title=\"\">Andrus Kasemaa<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">, and others).<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Several poems from Piret P\u00f5ldver\u2019s debut collection <em>Alati nii j\u00e4rsku<\/em> (\u2018Always So Suddenly\u2019, 2020) were earlier published in journals. The 41 poems of the book constitute a whole, connecting three stages in the author\u2019s life: childhood, university years and adult life. A characteristic feature of her poems is narrativity. Eight of the nine poems in the first part are strongly narrative and tell some concrete story from the author\u2019s childhood. The poems of the second part have been inspired by some idea or detail of everyday life. The last part deals with the fleetingness of time.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Piret P\u00f5ldver\u2019s prose book <em>Hoog<\/em> (\u2018Bout\u2019, 2022) speaks about alcohol and getting rid of its temptation. The book consists of two parts: fictional introspection and eight interviews, seven of which have been conducted with people who have given up alcohol and the eighth with the partner of a former alcoholic.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Piret P\u00f5ldver has been a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union from 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">L.
