She has also completed MA studies at the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School at Tallinn University. Has worked at the University of Tartu, the Estonian Literary Museum and Tartu Academy of Theology. She is a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union since 2012. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><a name=\"_Hlk89784743\"><\/a> Reeli Reinaus entered children\u2019s literature in 2008 with <i>Saladuslik p\u00e4evik<\/i> (\u2018Mysterious Diary\u2019), which received the second prize at <i>Minu esimene raamat<\/i> (\u2018My First Book\u2019), a children\u2019s stories competition arranged by the Estonian Children\u2019s Literature Centre, the <i>T\u00e4heke<\/i> magazine and T\u00e4nap\u00e4ev Publishers. As characteristic of Reinaus, the book is concentrated on mysterious and mystical events. Reinaus has also entwined magical elements into books dealing with young adults\u2019 problems, for example, <i>Morten, Emilie ja kadunud maailmad<\/i> (\u2018Morten, Emilie and the Lost Worlds\u2019, 2020). Her books include a broad variety of mythological and folkloric motifs, for example, in the book <i>Maarius, maagia ja libahunt Liisi<\/i> (\u2018Maarius, Magic and Werewolf Liisi, 2017), which earned the Good Children\u2019s Book award and was chosen by The International Youth Library (Internationale Jugendbibliothek) into its The White Ravens catalogue. The adventurous trilogy <i>N\u00f5idkapteni needus<\/i> (\u2018Sorcerer Captain\u2019s Curse\u2019, 2010), <i>Poisid Mustalt Hobuselt<\/i> (\u2018Boys from the Black Horse\u2019, 2013) and <i>San Agustini vereohvrid<\/i> (\u2018San Agustin\u2019s Blood Sacrifices\u2019, 2017) have been inspired by pirate stories. The series <i>Vanalinna detektiivid<\/i> (\u2018Old Town Detectives\u2019) \u2013 <i>Mustpeade maalid<\/i> (\u2018Paintings of the Black Heads\u2019 Fraternity\u2019, 2017), <i>Verega kirjutatud kirjad<\/i> (\u2018Letters Written with Blood\u2019, 2018), <i>Neitsitorni meedium<\/i> (\u2018Maiden Tower Psychic\u2019, 2020), <i>Niguliste muumia ja n\u00f5iam\u00e4rgid<\/i> (\u2018St Nicholas Church Mummy and Witch Signs\u2019, 2021) and <em>Kanada saatkonna kuri kummitus<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> (\u2018The Evil Ghost of the Canadian Embassy\u2019, 2023) <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">\u2013 also belongs among popular thrillers and detective stories in Estonian children\u2019s literature.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Mystical and magical subcurrents also entwine with reality in the novel meant for grown-ups, <i>Une n\u00e4gu<\/i> (\u2018Face of the Dream\u2019, 2005). Searches for self-fulfilment and human relations occupy an essential place in the novels <i>Kliinilised valed<\/i> (\u2018Clinical Lies\u2019, 2013) and <i>Praktiline n\u00f5iakunst<\/i> (\u2018Practical Witchcraft\u2019, 2013).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> In the novel <em>Hiietantsijad<\/em> (\u2018Dancers of the Sacred Grove\u2019, 2025), which intertwines the destinies of six characters who are initially complete strangers to each other, environmental problems come to the forefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Reinaus has won many prizes for her books for children and young adults. At the children\u2019s books competition <i>Minu esimene raamat<\/i> (\u2018My First Book\u2019) in 2009, her <i>T\u00e4iesti tavaline perekond<\/i> (\u2018An Entirely Ordinary Family\u2019, 2010) received the third place; in 2012, her book <i>Aguliurka lapsed<\/i> (\u2018Slum Children\u2019, 2012) won the first and <i>Detektiiv Triibik loomaaias<\/i> (\u2018Detective Tabby at Zoo\u2019, 2013) the second place, and in 2013 <i>Roosad inglid<\/i> (\u2018Pink Angels\u2019, 2014) won a special mention. In 2015, <i>Kuidas mu isa endale uue naise sai<\/i> (\u2018How My Father Found a New Wife\u2019, 2016) earned the first place. At the young adults\u2019 novels competition organised by the Estonian Children\u2019s Literature Centre and T\u00e4nap\u00e4ev Publishers, <i>Must vares<\/i> (\u2018Black Crow\u2019) won the first place in 2009; in 2011 <i>Nahka kriipivad n\u00e4dalad<\/i> (\u2018Weeks Scraping the Skin\u2019, 2012) received the second place and <i>Vaevatud<\/i> (\u2018Troubled\u2019, 2011) the third place. In 2014, <i>Suhkrust ja jahust<\/i> (\u2018Of Sugar and Flour\u2019, 2015) received the second place. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">The titles of Good Children\u2019s Book and Good Young Adults\u2019 Book have been awarded to <i>Detektiiv Triibik loomaaias<\/i> (\u2018Detective Tabby at Zoo\u2019), <i>Kuidas mu isa endale uue naise sai<\/i> (\u2018How My Father Found a New Wife\u2019) <i>M\u00f5\u00f5kade m\u00e4ss<\/i> (\u2018The Revolt of Swords, 2017) and <i>Roosi m\u00e4rgi all<\/i> (\u2018Under the Sign of Rose\u2019). <i>Kuidas mu isa endale uue naise<\/i> sai also won the children\u2019s literature award of the city of Tartu in 2017 and was entered into the International Board on Books for Young People Honour List in 2018. <i>Verikambi<\/i> (2016) won the <i>J\u00e4rje Hoidja<\/i> (\u2018Bookmark\u2019) award of Tallinn Central Library. In 2018, <i>Maailm, kuhu ma kuulun <\/i>(\u2018The World Where I Belong\u2019) won the first prize at the competition for children\u2019s and young adults\u2019 plays.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a folklorist, Reinaus has compiled a voluminous, nearly 700-page collection <em>Keerdus kadakas ja kadunud haned: Hageri kohap\u00e4rimus<\/em> (\u2018The Twisted Juniper and the Lost Geese: Hager\u2019s Local Lore\u2019, 2023), for which she won the Folk Culture Endowment\u2019s Annual Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">In 2021, Reinaus was among those who were selected to receive the writer\u2019s salary in 2022\u20132024.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><i>A.
