CC BY-SA 4.0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Taavi Kangur (born 19 July 1974) is a\u00a0prose writer.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Kangur was born in Kohtla-J\u00e4rve. He graduated from the School of Law at the University of Tartu with a master\u2019s degree in 2019. Kangur has worked in information technology as a project manager and sales director for more than 20 years. He has been a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union from 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Kangur entered literature with short stories that were published in the science fiction magazine <em>Algernon<\/em>. He has written several criminal novels. His first novel <em>K\u00f5igile saab kurikaga virutada<\/em> (\u2018Everyone Can Be Slammed with a Bat\u2019) achieved the second place at the novel competition of T\u00e4nap\u00e4ev publishers in 2010. Kangur\u2019s novel <em>H\u00e4kkerijaht<\/em> (\u2018Hunt for Hackers\u2019, 2012) is a fast-paced thriller on the race between Estonian and Russian special services.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">The crime novel <em>S\u00fcnk j\u00e4\u00e4, otsatu p\u00f5hi<\/em> (\u2018Gloomy Ice, Boundless Bottom\u2019) received the special prize of the <em>Postimees<\/em> newspaper at the novel competition of the Writers\u2019 Union in 2017. The action of the novel is set in present-day Estonia, but the prosecutor who investigates the murders discovers that the key to the events lies in his own earlier service in the Soviet Army.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">In 2014, Taavi Kangur published the manual <em>Kuidas saada kirjanikuks<\/em> (\u2018How to Become a Writer\u2019).<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><em>L.
