He has worked at Estonian Radio and Estonian Television, since 2003 she has been a director at Estonian National Broadcasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The books of the Aliis series, published under the pseudonym of Aliis J\u00f5e \u2014 <em>Viimane laev<\/em> (\u2018The Last Ship\u2019, 2017), \u2026kes pole kunagi s\u00f6\u00f6nud homaari (\u2018\u2026Who Has Never Eaten a Lobster\u2019, 2018) and <em>K\u00f5ik teed viivad Roomast<\/em> (\u2018All Roads Lead from Rome, 2021) \u2014 focus on the ups and downs of a single mother\u2019s life, being classified as easy-to-read women\u2019s books. The novel <em>Tormpuudlane<\/em> (2018), published under the name Elo Selirand, received the <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/t\/tammsaare\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1994\">A. H. Tammsaare<\/a> literary award in 2019. It examines the characters\u2019 destinies over a century in the key of magical realism. The action of the crime novel <em>Tormi m\u00e4rgid<\/em> (\u2018Signs of the Storm\u2019, 2021) takes place in the 19th century manor setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The non-fiction book <em>Elu eesliinil<\/em> (\u2018Life on the Frontline\u2019, 2020) reflects the experiences of caregivers at Kuressaare Hospital during the Covid outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selirand is the director, screenwriter, assistant and producer of various TV shows and films, among others, she is the director and screenwriter of the short feature film <em>Kutsar koputab kolm korda<\/em> (\u2018The Coachman Knocks Three Times, 2010). In 2007, she received the best support assistant prize of the Visual and Applied Art Endowment of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A. K. (Translated by I.
