Mainly to publish her own and her friends\u2019 books, she established the publishing company Kentaur. She died after serious illness.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn her work in journalism, Alver often dealt with criminal themes. She visited the women\u2019s prison at Harku where she interviewed murderers. This is how Alver\u2019s first book <em>V\u00e4givalla t\u00fctred<\/em> (\u2018Daughters of Violence\u2019, 2003) was born. <em>Tellitud m\u00f5rvad<\/em> (\u2018Ordered Murders\u2019) appeared six years later.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAnne-Mari Alver also wrote for children. A memorable character in her books for toddlers is a boy called Ats. Alver\u2019s <em>Klaasikillud asfaldil<\/em> (\u2018Shards of Glass on Asphalt\u2019) is a book for young readers which describes children\u2019s feelings when their parents divorce.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>L.
