The modern activity takes place in Strasbourg during a session of the European Parliamentary Assembly in the late 1990s or the first years of the 21st century. The other dimension is given to the book by the roamings of Jesus and his disciples in Palestine of the New Testament times. Torm (‘Storm’), published in 2010, is a thriller or warning novel. Its protagonist Adam, an Estonian, is sent to Cuba as a CIA agent to advise dissidents, survives the storm of the century and finds himself in a post-disaster dystopia.

Lauri Vahtre has published two poetry collections: Lihtsalt üks pihlakas (‘Just a Rowantree’) and Ilus valge ratsu (´Beautiful White Steed’, both 2012).
