She has been a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union from 2020. Her father was poet <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><a data-url=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/a\/allan\" href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/a\/allan\" title=\"\">Andres Allan<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">. Ellmann was the manager of the music group Ultramelanhool which included her uncle, artist Raoul Kurvitz and her nephew Robert Kurvitz, writer and creator of the computer game Disco Elysium.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Her debut collection <em>Liivaterade lend<\/em> (\u2018Flight of Sand Grains\u2019) appeared in 2008; <em>K\u00f5rbenud galaktikad<\/em> (\u2018Scorched Galaxies\u2019) followed a year later. Since her first collections, she has stood out as an idiosyncratic creator whose poetry is characterised by dark undercurrents and mystical motifs. Other typical features of Ellmann\u2019s poetry are introspection, use of elements of fantasy literature and folklore, symbolism of death and the otherworld, which is foregrounded, for example, in the collection <em>Sulgunud ruum<\/em> (\u2018Closed-up Space\u2019, 2015). Surrealist vision, abundance of pictures and images, existential searches and a metaphysical undertone create a peculiar world.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">A.
