He worked as a lawyer. He is buried in Viljandi. His son is humourist, screenwriter and writer Gert Kiiler (b. 1974).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has published humorous and short stories in the press; some of them have been collected into the book <em>Vibukits<\/em> (\u2018Bowgoat\u2019, 2006). Kiiler was a prominent badge collector; his interest was centred on badges related to Viljandi County. He has published writings about badges and published a pioneering handbook in this field, <em>M\u00e4rgikogujale<\/em> (\u2018For the Badge Collector\u2019, 1979).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A. K.
