She has worked at the Library of the Academy of Sciences and the Estonian National Library. Undusk has been a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union since 2022. Her parents were writers <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/jaankross\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1884\">Jaan Kross<\/a> (1920\u20132007) and <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/n\/niit\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"488\">Ellen Niit<\/a> (1928\u20132016), her brother writer <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/k\/martenkross\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1384\">M\u00e4rten Kross<\/a> (born 1970), and her husband writer and literary scholar Academician <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/u\/undusk\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"175\">Jaan Undusk<\/a> (born 1958).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maarja Undusk has published short prose and poems in the press since the end of the 1970s. Her first poetry collection <em>T\u00f5sim\u00e4ng<\/em> (\u2018Serious Game\u2019) came out in 1983, the second poetry collection <em>Muriaad<\/em> (\u2018Myriad\u2019) in 2020. In 2022, she published the monograph <em>Ellen Niit: heleda m\u00f5tte laast<\/em> (\u2018Ellen Niit: A Shard of Bright Thought\u2019) where subjective and objective subject matter was skilfully interwoven. In 2023, the Society of <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/t\/tammsaare\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1994\">Tammsaare<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/ewod\/v\/eduardvilde\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1945\">Vilde<\/a>\u2019s Friends awarded her the Friend of the Classic title for the book. Undusk has also compiled the selection of Ellen Niit\u2019s poetry <em>Aastatel on tiivad: valik luulet 1944-2006<\/em> (\u2018Years have Wings: a Selection of Poetry from 1944-2006\u2019, 2019), the compendium <em>Jaan Kross ja Tallinn<\/em> (\u2018Jaan Kross and Tallinn\u2019, 2020) and written a book primarily meant for children, <em>P\u00e4kapikk Ingo: valitud kohti kirjavahetusest tema s\u00f5pradega aastail 1991\u20132009<\/em> (\u2018Dwarf Ingo: Selected Passages from Correspondence with his Friends in 1991\u20132009\u2019, 2009).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A.
