Bernhard-Friedrich L\u00fclle (5 July 1921 \u2013 1 November 1995) was an actor, theatre director and writer.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tL\u00fclle was born in Tallinn in a carpenter\u2019s family. From 1935\u20131938 he studied at Gustav Adolf Gymnasium and in 1940 graduated from the private college of Tallinn Adult Education Society and in 1946 year the special class of the Drama Studio. Before World War II, L\u00fclle was an actor in the theatres of Tallinn. After the war, he worked as a director at several theatres, later as a manager of amateur theatres. In 1953\u20131962, he was a teacher of stage speech at Tallinn Pedagogical Institute and at Tallinn Folk University of Culture and in 1962\u20131978 supervisor of amateur theatres at the Folk Art Centre. Bernhard L\u00fclle was a member of the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union from 1958.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the collective pseudonym of Lall Kahas, L\u00fclle wrote plays in cooperation with Iko Maran \u2013 P\u00f5lev alus<\/em> (\u2018The Burning Car\u2019, 1945), Aknad valla<\/em> (\u2018Windows Open\u2019, 1946), P\u00e4hklim\u00e4gi<\/em> (\u2018Walnut Hill\u2019, 1957) and youth stories. Under Bernhard L\u00fclle\u2019s name, he published the plays Hundipass<\/em> (\u2018Dismissal\u2019, 1981) and Tagasil\u00f6\u00f6k<\/em> (\u2018Backlash\u2019, 1985). L\u00fclle translated plays from Russian.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYouth books published under the name of Lall Kahas have been translated into Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Moldovan, Chinese and Tajik.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
