IV 1963) is a musician, poet and prose writer.<b> <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:0.11in\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><span style=\"line-height:108%\">He was born and educated in Tallinn. He has worked in various positions, in the mid-eighties involved in several rock and punk bands, the best known of which was Vennaskond, whose leader, vocalist and one of the main songwriters he was. Trubetsky has also worked as an animator and film director. He has been a member of the Tallinn NAK (Young Authors\u2019 Association, since 1987) and the Estonian Writers\u2019 Union (since 1997). He has been awarded the Grand Prix des Media of Radio France Internationale (1996) and the Suur Vanker award (1996). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:0.11in\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><span style=\"line-height:108%\">Trubetsky\u2019s first (punk) poems appeared in the press in 1986; his first collection, <i>Pogo <\/i>in 1989 (on the <i>Kassett 88<\/i>, together with texts by Karl Martin Sinij\u00e4rv, Ringo Ringvee and M\u00e4rt V\u00e4ljataga), and the collection <i>Anarhia <\/i>(\u2018Anarchy\u2019) in 1994. The collections give prominence to song lyrics, many of which have been performed by Vennaskond. His poetry has borne the aesthetics and poetics of punk poetry, which includes a certain simplicity. There are romantic and elegiac moods, motifs of departure, and social protest. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:0.11in\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><span style=\"line-height:108%\">Trubetsky has written so-called \u2018punk\u2019 and \u2018rock\u2019 novels, both together with other authors, such as <i>Inglid ja kangelased <\/i>(\u2018Angels and Heroes\u2019, 1992), <i>Daam sinises <\/i>(\u2018Lady in blue\u2019, 1994), and alone \u2013 <i>Mina ja George, <\/i>(\u2018George and I\u2019, 1996), which are characterised by a free-flowing plot with elements of adventure.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:0.11in\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:13px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><span style=\"line-height:108%\">He has written surveys of anarchism and the punk movement: <i>Anarhistid: anarhia legendid.
