\n\tAndris Feldmanis (born 21 September 1982) is a script and prose writer.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tFeldmanis graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Tartu in the speciality of history. He has worked as a journalist, film editor of the cultural pages of the newspaper Eesti P\u00e4evaleht<\/em>, and a copywriter.\n<\/p>\n \n\tIn cooperation with Livia Ulman, Andris Feldmanis has written scripts for the television series Ohtlik lend<\/em> (\u2018Dangerous Flight), K\u00e4ttemaksukontor<\/em> (\u2018Revenge Office\u2019), Kodu keset linna<\/em> (\u2018Home Amidst the Town\u2019), Elu keset linna<\/em> (\u2018Life Amidst the Town\u2019) and Keeris<\/em> (\u2018Vortex\u2019), and for the films Teesklejad<\/em> (\u2018Pretenders\u2019), Roosa kampsun<\/em> (\u2018Pink Sweater\u2019) and Kupee nr 6<\/em> (\u2018Compartment No. 6\u2019). The Finnish-Estonian-Russian-German coproduction Kupee nr 6<\/em> (director Juho Kuosmanen) premiered in Cannes in 2021 and won the grand prix there.\n<\/p>\n \n\tFeldmanis\u2019 fantasy novel Viimased tuhat aastat<\/em> (\u2018The Last Thousand Years\u2019) was published in 2016. Its scene is set in Berlin several centuries from now when life on the Earth is governed by machines and people live a aimless life of leisure. The book depicts the average man\u2019s attempt to fight against the rule of machines and to find at least some meaning for life.\n<\/p>\n \n\tIn 2022, Andris Feldmanis and Livia Ulman published the children\u2019s book Erik Kivis\u00fcda<\/em> (\u2018Erik Stoneheart\u2019) which is based on the same authors\u2019 film for children.\n<\/p>\n \n\tAndris Feldmanis has translated Terry Pratchett\u2019s books from English.\n<\/p>\n \n\tL.
