K\u00e4rt lived in the Latvian capital, Riga, for several years. She began writing poetry in 1958, mostly on nature. She also wrote stories and articles. They appeared in the periodicals <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Norda Prismo, Paco, Nuntempa Bulgario <\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\">[Modern Bulgaria], <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Amikeco<\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\"> [Friendship], <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Nia Verda Stelo<\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\"> [Our Green Star], <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">La Verda Kolombo<\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\"> [The Green Dove], <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Planteto <\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\">[Little Plant] et al. She compiled and edited <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Unui\u011do<\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\"> [Union] for five years. She also collaborated with the Esperanto Section of Radio Poland in Warsaw. Apart from her translations from Estonian to Esperanto, she also translated from Esperanto into Estonian. The latter appeared in the Tartu newspaper <\/span><em style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small;line-height: 1.6em\">Edasi<\/em><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\" data-mce-mark=\"1\">A collection of 100 of her poems was produced in just eight copies in 1968 under the title <em>Versa\u0135oj<\/em> [Poems]. Her collection of 31 poems <em>Miozoto<\/em> [Forget-me-not] of 1970 is named after an Esperanto holiday cottage, 28km from Riga. It is chiefly inspired by nature. In his review (1971), Maltese poet Carmel Mallia (q.v.) comments that <em>Miozoto<\/em>, which employs various forms of metre, \u2019is a sweetly romantic little ray of sunshine in the suffocatingly modern forest of poetry.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;font-size: small\">K\u00e4rt\u2019s translation from Estonian incl.: <em>La Mastro de K\u00f5rboja<\/em> (1976, novel <em>K\u00f5rboja peremees<\/em> by Anton H.
