In 2022, Mirjam Parve received the Juhan Liiv Poetry Prize. Her debut collection Varjukeha (‘Shadow Body’, 2023) dealt with the theme of the dispersion and uncertainty of the self-image and the question of how to remain a caring human being in such a situation and in today’s world. Her writing expresses the will to experience an enlightening and cleansing moment, and shed the mortal body, while retaining an ironic and humorous attitude. Varjukeha won the Betti Alver Debut Prize. It also included translations of the poetry of Anna T.
