Neeme P\u00f5der (born 29 September 1976) is an educator, poet and translator.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tP\u00f5der was born in Tallinn. He completed Lasnam\u00e4e Gymnasium in Tallinn in 1994. He has studied Estonian language and literature at Tallinn Pedagogical University (later Tallinn University). Since 2000, Neeme P\u00f5der has worked as a teacher of Estonian language and literature at Tallinn Old Town Educational College. His mother is singer and actor Mare J\u00f5geva. His father was prose writer and chief editor of Eesti Raamat publishers Rein P\u00f5der<\/a>. Neeme P\u00f5der has also worked as an editor of fiction.\n<\/p>\n \n\tFrom 1998\u20132000, P\u00f5der belonged to the young writers\u2019 grouping Tallinna Noored Tegijad (TNT, Young Doers of Tallinn). The members of the grouping performed at numerous poetry recitals and published their creation in print. In 1999, Neeme P\u00f5der, under the pseudonym of Monaco, issued the self-published debut poetry collection Hinget\u00f5mme<\/em> (\u2018Gasp of Breath\u2019).\u00a0 In 2002, three former members of the grouping \u2014 Neeme P\u00f5der, Hedda Maurer and Jana Lepik \u2014 founded the new literary grouping !peatus. Under the publishing imprint of !peatus, P\u00f5der issued the collection Baile \u00c1tha Cliath<\/em> in 2002 (published again in an edited form in 2005).\n<\/p>\n \n\tIn 2007, Eesti Raamat published Neeme P\u00f5der\u2019s poetry collection Kaktuste puiestee<\/em> (\u2018Boulevard of Cacti). In 2013, the same publisher issued the poetry collection Aken sinisesse<\/em> (\u2018Window into the Blue\u2019). P\u00f5der\u2019s poems are mostly short and unrhymed, being based on descriptive and hermetic metaphors. Sometimes, P\u00f5der uses the poetic word order and breaks the rules of agreement.
