Kristo Oks (magistrant)

EST: Kristo on Tartu ülikooli arheoloogia magistrant. Oma bakalaureusetöö kirjutas ta teemal “Tarvastu ordulinnuse sepikoda”, mille eest pälvis ETAG-I üliõpilaste teadustööde konkursil humanitaarteaduste bakalaureuseastme esimese riikliku preemia. Magistritöös keskendub Kristo Eesti muinas- ja keskaegsele rauatootmisele, mille põhifookuses on rauasulatusprotsessi konstrueerimine. Õppetöö kõrvalt töötab ta TÜ arheoloogia laboris, kus konserveerib ning uurib erinevaid metallesemeid, ja on Õpetatud Eesti Seltsi sekretär.

Käesoleva projekti raames on Kristo vastutuseks Esterra kodulehe haldamine. Samuti osaleb ta arheoloogilistel inspektsioonidel ja valitoodel. Tema korraldada on ka Saarde esimese kihelkonnakiriku otsimine Jäärja külas

ENG: Kristo is a master’s student in archeology at the University of Tartu. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis on the topic “The Teutonic Order castle smithy of Tarvastu”, for which he received the first national award for the bachelor’s degree in humanities at the ETAG student research competition. In his master’s thesis, he focuses on the Ancient and the Middle Ages iron production in Estonia. In addition to his studies, Kristo works in the UT archeology laboratory, where he preserves and studies various metal objects, and works as the secretary of Learned Estonian Society.

Within this project, Kristo is responsible for managing the Esterra website. He also participates in archaeological inspections and fieldwork. He will also organize the search for the Saarde’s first parish church in Jäärja village.
