Below is the list of all WPs along with a summary of their objectives, which serve as a small description of their purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"table table-hover\"><tbody><tr><th>WP No.<\/th><td><strong>Lead<br>Beneficiary<\/strong><\/td><th>WP Name<\/th><th>Small Description \/ Objectives<\/th><\/tr><tr><td>WP1<\/td><td>UT<\/td><td>Management and Recruitment of E-Sailors<\/td><td>The objectives of WP1 are to: <br>1) Set up effective managerial structures and communication channels; <br>2) Monitor progress based on KPIs, manage risks and budget and ensure quality; <br>3) Ensure FAIR data management; <br>4) Select and recruit E-Sailors (DCs). <br>This WP involves management activities.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP2<\/td><td>KTH<\/td><td>E-sail mission and science leadership<\/td><td>The objectives of WP2 are to: <br>1) Design next-generation E-sail experiments for lunar orbit and deep space; <br>2) Design next-generation E-sail nanospacecraft for lunar orbit and deep space; <br>3) Analyse, develop and test other solar-wind propulsion systems and compare with E-sail; <br>4) Monitor progress of individual research projects. <br>This WP focuses on research and involves <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/esailors\/phd-positions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"138\">E-Sailors 1\u20133<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP3<\/td><td>TUD<\/td><td>E-sail propulsion design and characterization<\/td><td>The objectives of WP3 are to: <br>1) Design E-sail payloads for lunar orbit and deep space; <br>2) Develop and integrate high-voltage source and electron emitters; <br>3) Analyse and develop E-sail characterization with Langmuir probes; <br>4) Monitor progress of individual research projects. <br>This WP focuses on research and involves <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/esailors\/phd-positions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"138\">E-Sailors 4\u20137<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP4<\/td><td>Aalto<\/td><td>E-sail nanospacecraft platform design<\/td><td>The objectives of WP4 are to: <br>1) Analyse and develop visual E-sail deployment monitoring methods; <br>2) Design lunar and deep-space nanospacecraft communications and ranging; <br>3) Design Triangulated Celestial Navigation (TCN) on-board computer for FPGA image processing; <br>4) Monitor progress of individual research projects. <br>This WP focuses on research and involves <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/esailors\/phd-positions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"138\">E-Sailors 8\u201311<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP5<\/td><td>UNIPI<\/td><td>E-sail software and modelling<\/td><td>The objectives of WP5 are to: <br>1) Lead TCN architecture and algorithm development; <br>2) Implement E-sail simulation fidelity levels in Electric Sail Mission Expeditor (ESME); <br>3) Develop single-tether and multi-tether E-sail spin plane orientation and spin rate control in ESME; <br>4) Develop Realtime 3D (RT3D) simulation environment and support TCN testing; <br>5) Monitor progress of individual research projects. <br>This WP focuses on research and involves <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/esailors\/phd-positions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"138\">E-Sailors 12\u201315<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP6<\/td><td>RTU<\/td><td>Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication<\/td><td>The objectives of WP6 are to: <br>1) Raise awareness of the E-sail and disseminate the outputs and results of the project to target audiences; <br>2) Publicize the topic among the general public. <br>This WP involves dissemination activities for all researchers.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WP7<\/td><td>UNIPI<\/td><td>Training and development of transversal skills<\/td><td>The objectives of WP7 are to: <br>1) Create Personal and Career Development Plans for all E-sailors; <br>2) Organize network-wide training schools; <br>3) Provide individual training opportunities to E-Sailors;  <br>4) Integrate research results into teaching. <br>This WP involves training activities for all researchers.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The E-Sailors project is structured into seven Work Packages (WPs).
