\n\tTartu \u00dclikooli filosoofia osakond korraldab 23-24. septembril Tartus j\u00e4rjekorras kuueteistk\u00fcmnenda Eesti filosoofia aastakonverentsi.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tKonverentsi\u00a0peaesineja on\u00a0 Princetoni \u00fclikooli filosoofiaprofessor Peter Singer. Seoses Singeri m\u00f5juka raamatu \u201cLoomade vabastamine\u201d ilmumisega eesti keeles on \u00fchel konverentsi p\u00e4eval kavas Singeri tunniajane esinemine formaadis \u201cIn Conversation with Peter Singer\u201d, mille raames ta vastab ka kuulajate k\u00fcsimustele.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKonverentsile ootame abstrakte erinevatel filosoofia teemadel (nii eesti kui inglise keeles) ja ettepanekuid s\u00fcmpoosioniteks filosoofia p\u00e4evakajalistel teemadel. Abstraktide pikkuseks on 200-300 s\u00f5na, juurde tuleb m\u00e4rkida ka autori nimi ja seotud organisatsioon. S\u00fcmpoosioni ettepanekute juurde palume lisada osalejate nimed. Our keynote guest is Peter Singer to mark the imminent publication of the Estonian translation of Animal Liberation<\/i> (1975) \u2013 the book that placed animal ethics at the center of professional philosophy as well as proving immensely influential outside academia. Kadri Simm (Associate Professor of Practical Philosophy, University of Tartu) will join Peter Singer in a conversation, during which he will also answer the audience\u2019s questions. \u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\tWe invite the submission of abstracts on any topic in philosophy (whether or not related to Singer\u2019s work), in Estonian or in English. We also welcome proposals for symposia on a common theme or on a recently published book. Please send an abstract or a symposium proposal of 200 to 300 words to: efak@ut.ee<\/a>.<\/strong> The abstract must include author\u2019s name and affiliation. A symposium proposal must also include names of participants. Submission deadline: August 15th, 2021<\/b>\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe conference will be held physically on the premises of the University of Tartu, but we will be able to accommodate contributors who prefer to present remotely.\n<\/p>\n
