In this in-depth workshop, we will focus on the fundamentals of writing successful grant applications, from formulating research questions and methods to budgeting and team building. In addition to the perspective of the proposal writer, participants will also hear recommendations from proposal evaluators. The practical exercises will help frame the participants\u2019 planned project proposals, whether these are research or postdoctoral projects. Several Estonian and international scholars from the natural and exact sciences as well as the social sciences and humanities will share their insights and tips for success.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The workshop will take place in\u00a0<strong>Tartu<\/strong>\u00a0over three days. The registration deadline is on\u00a0<strong>November 7, 2025<\/strong>.<br>\nThe maximum number of participants is 25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Upon registration, the participants are required to\u00a0<strong>submit a circa 300-word abstract of their project idea<\/strong>. This idea can be further developed during the workshop, and at the end, the trainers and co-participants will provide their feedback. The project may, for example, be a planned postdoctoral project or any another (international) grant application. In the abstract, please address the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is the context \/ rationale for this idea \/ research to be done?<\/li>\n<li>What is your main research objective (what should be achieved by the end of the project, if everything goes according to plan)?<\/li>\n<li>Which aspect(s) in your research go beyond the State-of-the-Art (SoA)? How?
