The material provides introduction to the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation, academic entrepreneurship and research commercialization. It is intended as an introductory material for the course on entrepreneurship for doctoral students and to be combined with reading materials on technology entrepreneurship and research papers on each topic + discussion questions on each subtopic for the seminars.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\tThe development of this material was supported by the program \u201cEdu ja Tegu \u2013 Systematic Development of Entrepreneurship Education on All Levels of Education in Estonia\u201d implemented by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and financed by European Social Fund.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\t<strong><span style=\"color:#28aae1\">Target group: <\/span><\/strong>doctoral students of Estonian University of Life Sciences taking the courses DK.0021 Entrepreneurship and Management and DK.022 Practice in entrepreneurship or management, graduate students taking MS.0808 Innovation and entrepreneurship for rural development.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#28aae1\"><strong>Learning outcomes.<\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\tAfter completing the learning object, the student will be able to:\n<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n\t\u2013 Define main entrepreneurship concepts and role of innovation in entrepreneurship\n<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n\t\u2013 Explain the main historical developments of the concept\n<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n\t\u2013 Define innovation and different types of innovation\n<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n\t\u2013 Understand the basics of academic entrepreneurship\n<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n\t\u2013 Explain the options for research commercialization\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#28aae1\"><strong>Work load: 0.5 ECTS<\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#28aae1\"><strong>Author: Anne P\u00f5der<\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INTRODUCTION Objective of present study object is to support entrepreneurship modules developed in Estonian University of Life Sciences and in other Estonian universities as part of the entrepreneurship education program.
