Meie uurimist\u00f6\u00f6 s\u00fcveneb f\u00fc\u00fcsikalistesse, bioloogilistesse ja keemilistesse protsessidesse, mis juhivad gaaside ja energia vahetust. Uurides, kuidas toimivad taimed, mikroobid ja \u00f6kos\u00fcsteemid, p\u00fc\u00fcame avastada keerukaid viise, kuidas biosf\u00e4\u00e4r \u201chingab\u201d \u2014 reguleerides gaaside voogu ja energiavajadust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meie missioon on anda v\u00e4\u00e4rtuslikku teadmist kliimamuutuste leevendamiseks, uurides \u00f6kos\u00fcsteemide rolli globaalses s\u00fcsinikuts\u00fcklis. Kombineerides v\u00e4lit\u00f6\u00f6d, uuenduslikku tehnoloogiat ja valdkondadevahelist l\u00e4henemist, tegeleme k\u00f5ige olulisemate keskkonnaprobleemidega, mida kliimamuutused kaasa toovad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peamised tegevusvaldkonnad:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kasvuhoonegaaside vahetus:<\/strong> Me m\u00f5\u00f5dame oluliste kasvuhoonegaaside \u2014 nagu s\u00fcsihappegaas (CO\u2082), metaan (CH\u2084) ja dil\u00e4mmastikoksiid (N\u2082O) \u2014 vahetust erinevatel maakasutust\u00fc\u00fcpidel, n\u00e4iteks m\u00e4rgaladel, metsades, p\u00f5llumajandusmaadel ja savannides. Kasutades tipptasemel virvenduskoherentsuse meetodeid ja kambrip\u00f5hiseid m\u00f5\u00f5tmisi, uurime, kuidas maahalduspraktikad ja \u00f6koloogilised protsessid m\u00f5jutavad nende gaaside v\u00e4ljat\u00f6\u00f6tamisele m\u00e4rgalade taastamiseks, mis maksimeerivad s\u00fcsiniku sidumist ning v\u00e4hendavad metaani ja dil\u00e4mmastikoksiidi emissioone. Meie \u00f6koloogilise inseneriteaduse tegevused on suunatud veekvaliteedi parandamisele, s\u00fcsiniku talletamise suurendamisele ja saasteainete koormuse v\u00e4hendamisele s\u00e4\u00e4stvate praktikate kaudu.
