Subject Search

A subject heading list allows you to obtain information about the existence of a specific subject term in the database and to perform searches using it. A subject term is a word or phrase that represents the subject matter of an information source or part of it.

In subject databases (such as ERIC, PsycINFO, Communication and Mass Media Complete), the name of the subject heading list is usually Thesaurus, while in the Academic Search Ultimate database it is Subject Terms.

You can find the subject heading list(s) of the selected database(s) on the Advanced Search page below the search form by clicking on Subjects.
