The conference organizers are expecting the following submissions of proposals:<\/p>\n

  • symposia<\/strong>\u00a0(summary of symposium 300 words, summary of each paper 500\u00a0words, up to 4 papers)<\/li>\n
  • papers\u00a0<\/strong>(summary of 500 words)<\/li>\n
  • posters\u00a0<\/strong>(summary\u00a0of 300 words)<\/li>\n
  • data sessions<\/strong>\u00a0(summary\u00a0of 300 words)<\/li>\n
  • work-in-progress<\/strong>\u00a0(summary\u00a0of 300 words)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    \n<\/p>

    The conference organizers encourage\u00a0symposia<\/strong> proposals. \u00a0Individual authors\u00a0who wish to know possible partners for symposium\u00a0proposal are offered to contact the scientific committee\u00a0before February the 1st.<\/p>\n

    \n<\/p>

    The data sessions<\/strong>\u00a0are interesting since they provide the presenter with other researchers\u2019\u00a0analytical reading of an empirical material.\u00a0It also provides opportunity for those who\u00a0attend to experience how different analytical approaches are used in practice.<\/p>\n

    \n<\/p>

    Every presenter has\u00a060 minutes<\/span>\u00a0for his\/her submission. All preparations are made by the presenter.<\/p>\n

    Format: Only give a short introduction to the data material (max 10 min), then let the participants in the session engage with the data and with analytic work: reading the transcripts\/watching video a couple of times and discussing in pairs. Take a round, ask for comments.<\/p>\n

    Material: Copy and bring handouts of maximum 2 pages of transcribed material translated into English. If you want to bring for instance video recordings along with the transcripts, make sure to bring the selected clips easy to be found on your own laptop and please check that it works in advance.<\/p>\n

    \n<\/p>

    The work-in-progress\u00a0<\/strong>is a way to get cricital and constructive input on an unfinished paper from\u00a0two discussants who have prepared comments (one junior and one senior colleague).\u00a0The main idea is to collaboratively advance ongoing research in the field, by discussing the\u00a0quality of preliminary analysis, a theoretical argument, etcetera before the paper finds its final\u00a0shape. The audience will also have the opportunity to read in advance and contribute to the\u00a0discussion.<\/p>\n

    \n<\/p>

    \n

    Every presenter has\u00a045 minutes<\/span>\u00a0for his\/her submission.\u00a0The deadline for Work-In-Progress papers is 1st of August<\/span>, after that\u00a0the\u00a0discussants will prepare comments.\u00a0If the paper is not submitted before the 1st of August, the submission will be listed as ordinary paper.<\/p>\n

    Format: Give an introduction (15 min) of your intentions with the paper you are working on. Two appointed discussants will take on the job to comment (20-25 min). Some time will be left for others to contribute.<\/p>\n

    Material: Work-In-Progress (unfinished manuscript or part of analysis) which still may be altered, re-framed and re-analysed etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
