Writing retreat 7

Date:
Mon - Thu, Apr 22 to Apr 25, 11:00am - 4:00pm

Location:
Kääriku Hotel, Valga county

Writing Retreat will create space and time for PhD students to focus on your own academic writing and thus make significant progress on your research goals. Four days with over 30 hours of writing, short workshops, activities to help clear your mind, as well as the opportunity to discuss with others and with a facilitating consultant. The format is inclusive and collective. It will be facilitated and supported, with the focus being on writing together to increase motivation and writing productivity.

The instructor is Anni Jürine (PhD, Research Fellow at the Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics). She has experience teaching PhD level academic writing across and within disciplines. She has formerly developed and instructed several writing retreats for different graduate and doctoral schools.

The planned writing has to be related with your PhD dissertation. To participate in the retreat, please send a short workplan on the writing you will be working on and submit your application by April 5, 2019 here.

NB! Members of Doctoral School in Economics and Innovation are welcome to participate. The number of participants is limited. If the number of interested people exceeds available places, the selection will be done based on the quality of workplans and participation in earlier retreats.

All costs (transport to the venue, accommodation and meals) will be covered by the doctoral school for those who are actively involved in any of the above mentioned study programmes.

Venue: Kääriku Hotel
