You don’t need to think about exact search terms, but can simply ask a question or describe your search topic. The query is returned for a large language model (LLM). This model interprets the natural language input and the EBSCO search system generates relevant search results based on artificial intelligence interpretation. On the search results page, you can also see a query generated by the system using Boolean operators by clicking Show refined query. You can evaluate whether the system interpreted the natural language query correctly and decide whether you want to modify your query. This search method can be useful if you are at the beginning of a research project and want to get a general overview of the topic.
The Natural Language search mode can also be enabled under the Basic Search search box on the right.
For more information on how AI is used to support natural language search, visit Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transparency Fact Sheet – Natural Language Search

Eelmine

By default, the Basic Search page is displayed, where the search words are searched in the title, authors, keywords, subjects and abstract.
